AdMob is one of the world’s largest mobile advertising networks, offering solutions for discovery, branding and monetization on the mobile web. Mobile devices are a critical media platform and we are building the tools to let every business on earth leverage mobile.
We were founded in 2006 by an entrepreneur trying to solve a problem. Omar Hamoui wanted to build traffic for his mobile site. He encountered complexity and fragmentation – it was just too hard to engage users. AdMob was born to remove roadblocks and enable mobile web businesses. We’ve built technologies to enable media businesses in mobile and continue to invest in tools to enable the mobile environment.

This network has the lowest eCPM’s but great fillrate.
You will almost always get an impression. But since the eCPM is so low, you have to wonder if it’s worth the effort to use Admob and much rather if you’re willing to give away your adspace for almost next to nothing.
Also forget having someone to talk to. The suport pages is it.

AdMob is pretty much the default ad network for many developers. It provides a good, stable SDK, which even includes advanced features such as interstitials & mediation.
Once you tick the box to include AdSense inventory, the fill rate can reach ~90%. Without AdSense though, the AdMob inventory itself is quite limited.
Of course, since this is Google the developer support is very limited. You’ll be hard pressed to get a direct answer to any questions from AdMob itself. Better off asking around at independent developer forums if you want some help integrating the SDK, or are wondering what’s up with your reporting.
Overall a very stable network, which is a good first choice for beginning developers. Advanced devs might want to look at the mediation options from AdMob or another provider, to get the most out of multiple ad networks in your app.
